New pavement in Bonnington Square

We really should have taken ‘before and after’ photos, but anyway take a look now at the new pavement alongside Bonnington Square Garden and opposite Vine Lodge which has replaced the uneven pavement and ugly mesh barrier that was there before. Note the contrast-colour flush surrounds to the tree pits, so no longer a trip hazard. And all nicely finished off with a couple of bike hoops.
It was all paid for out of funds available to councillors for ‘local projects’. So, a big thanks to Councillor Andrew Sawdon for thinking of us and who arranged to have the work done quickly.
Now what about a nice tree for the nearest pit where a bike used to be parked against the mesh barrier which also had a honeysuckle growing through it? The honeysuckle, by the way, has been saved and will be replanted. If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please comment below or e-mail Jimmy at jamesfraser.avantgardener@googlemail.com
