FIRE nightclub

Lambeth Council have received 30 objections to FIRE’s application to expand into adjacent arches (click on FIRE under ‘Categories’ to see previous posts). The public hearing will take place at 7pm on Tuesday 05 May at Lambeth Town Hall.

Shouldn’t this be more than about fire nightclub. after all it dosn’t matter who owns the clubs, the impact on the area is the same. If the council just makes the area 24 hour resident parking on weekends this will resolve the issue.

Hi Nancy,
I agree that it does not matter at all who owns the clubs. However I disagree that the impact in the area is the same no matter which club. Fire is actually the only club that is regulalry open for 24 consecutive hours or more. That surely has a bigger impact than the clubs that only open for 5 or 6 hours a night and sometimes in the afternoons.
In addition the parking issue is only a small part of the problem.
