New Street Lighting in Bonnington Square

For those of us who are in the dark about what’s happening, the latest update from the David Webster Limited, the main contractor appointed by Lambeth Council, is that service connection to the new columns is programmed for February 2009. The start date should be 14 February and all works should be completed by 22 February.
Why can’t it be done sooner as all the new columns and lanterns have been in place for quite a while now? Well, we’re being told that it’s been programmed to happen during school holidays so that parents won’t have to navigate road works when walking their children to local schools. You may wish to comment on that.
